Mr. Rajiv Pamu
Mr. Rajiv Pamu is the Chief Perfusionist at Medanta Hospital, Lucknow, with over 15 years of extensive experience in clinical perfusion technology. He has performed cardiopulmonary bypass for more than 8,000 adult and paediatric cardiac surgeries, including CABG, valvular, aortic aneurysm, minimally invasive procedures, and complex congenital heart surgeries across neonatal to adult age groups. His expertise includes management of advanced life-support systems such as IABP, ECMO, and LVADs, and active involvement in heart and lung transplant programs at premier institutions including Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, and AIIMS, New Delhi. He is an academic coordinator for the M.Sc. Perfusion program at AIIMS, has trained numerous perfusion technologists, contributed to JCI accreditation processes, and is an active member of ISECT.
Education Qualification:
- B. Sc. (Biotechnology). From Kakatiya University, Warangal , Telangana.
- P.G . Dip. In Perfusion Technology from Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS),
Hyderabad. Telangana.
Work Experience:
- Chief Perfusionist, at Medanta Hospital, Lucknow. As a Clinical Perfusion Technologist,
having 15 years of experience, conducted Cardiopulmonary Bypass for Adult and Pediatrics cadiac
surgeries . Perfomed Cardiopulmonary Bypass for 4000 adult cardiac procedures like CABGs, Valves,
Aneurysms , minimal invasive cardiac surgeries and Heart and Lung Transplant cases. Conducted CPB
for more than 4000 simple and complex congenital heart surgeries for pediatric , infant and neonates
. Managed IABP, ECMO, LVADS and other life saving equipments.
- Actively involved in heart and lung transplant team at Apollo hospitals , Hyderabad, and
AIIMS, New Delhi. Academi coordinator at AIIMS M.Sc. Perfusion programme. Trained many Perfusion
Students and active member in JCI accreditation at Apollo Hospitals , Hyderabad . Active member of
Indian Society of Extracorporeal Circulation Technology (ISECT).
